Changing your password

When to change your password
You should change your password if you suspect your account has been accessed by someone else, if you have recently shared your login credentials with another person, or if you simply want to replace an old password with a stronger one. The platform does not expire passwords on a schedule by default, but your organization may enforce a password-rotation policy — in that case you will be prompted to change your password when it is due.
Password strength guidelines
A strong password significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your account. When choosing a new password, aim for:
- At least 12 characters in length (longer is better).
- A mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols (such as !, @, #, $).
- No easily guessable information such as your name, email address, or password123.
- A passphrase — a sequence of four or more random words — can be both memorable and very secure.
How to change your password
- Click your avatar or initials in the top-right corner and select Profile Settings.
- Click the Security tab at the top of the settings page.
- In the Change password section, enter your current password to confirm your identity.
- Enter your new password in the next field, then enter it again in the Confirm new password field to make sure there are no typos.
- Click Update Password. You will receive a confirmation email at your registered address to let you know the change was made successfully.
Single sign-on users
If your organization uses single sign-on (SSO), your password is managed entirely by your identity provider — for example, your company's Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, or Okta account. The platform does not store your SSO password and you will not see a Change password section on the Security tab. To change your SSO password, contact your IT team or follow your organization's standard password-reset process.
Troubleshooting
- I cannot remember my current password: Use the Forgot password? link on the login page to reset it via email before attempting to change it here.
- New password is rejected as too weak: Make sure it meets the length and complexity requirements shown on the form.
- I did not receive a confirmation email: Check your spam or junk folder. If it is not there, your password may still have been updated — try logging out and back in.
If you are still having trouble, contact your platform administrator and include a description of the error message you see on screen.
